Requirements - becoming a Nurse (GP)

To become a Nurse in General Practice:

• Current Annual Practice Certificate (APC)
• Be a New Zealand Registered Nurse
• Indemnity Insurance
• It is comprehensive cover for defending accusations or claims against members related to their profession practice.
• It covers you for claims related to your professional practice:
• Disciplinary and competency proceeding before nursing and midwifery council’s and the health practitioners disciplinary tribunal
• Health and disability commissioner investigations
• Claims of negligence or error which may lead to injury, death, damage or exemplary damages
